Hello everyone! I've been invited to take an exam with lion bridge. Does any one have helpful tips on passing the exam? Which position is it and for which search engine? Lionbridge hires for Microsoft (Bing) and Google projects. Is it web site ratings or ads ratings?

Does anyone know if you take an exam for a social media Internet assessor position (crowdsourcing) with Lionbridge? Thanks. You have to receive an invitation to test for an open position. Lionbridge has several crowdsourcing positions available the United States and globally with different requirements. Check their crowdsourcing website at earliest convenience. Good luck. www.thesmartcrowd.com/

Then, I responded both times I was told they overstaffed and never got to take exams or anything. My question for you is that do they give 3 exams even for a crowdsourcing position such as social media assessor?

I never worked in the social media program ,so I cannot say for sure what the exam will be like. From what I have read, they do have a similar assessment process which is partly theoretical based on the project guidelines and practical application with simulated rating tasks. They receive a lot of applications so you may need to be persistent in contacting them. Have you tried reaching out via their social media channels? I know they are definitely hiring for the lionbridge rating program. If I find out anything else. I will not hesitate to let you know. Have a great weekend :-)

At least it is great to know that they do have a similar process for the crowdsourcing positions. And thank you for suggesting to look their social channels. I have been so consumed by ZC work that is stressful time to time (to click all the time!) and have not even checked my own FB account! I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!!

Anytime! It is my pleasure. I can certainly empathize with how you feel. These contracts provide an excellent source of extra money if you can pass the exams, but the work requires diligence and is generally very individualized. That is why enjoy message boards like this one because they facilitate relationships among remote workers, but also provide an excellent knowledge base of shared experiences.

Hi all i am from India and working as a social media internet assessor in Hindi language for lionbridge. My question is, is this really mandatory to put comments in needs met rating and SxS? my English is too weak and i don`t know how to write(describe) my ratings in comment section on each result block. Due to my poor writing capabilities i am finding this really hard. Kindly help me Do they will kick me out if i wont comment on result blocks or describe my opinion on comments section?

Maybe I will get paid by the end of the next payment cycle. (June 10th) Hard will be to hold till there without money. Cheers.

Hi everyone, I apologize for my delayed response and overall absence from the forum over the past month. I wanted to take this opportunity and clarify a few things about payment from Lionbridge based on my experiences in the United States. Lionbridge generally processes payments on the last day of the month and the paycheck you receive (which does not adjust for taxes) is for work completed the prior month. For example, you payment issued on June 30 is for your May 2016 invoice. You would then receive payment within 48 hours and I have never had to pay wire transfer fees, but if you do, Lionbridge expects you to treat those as the expense on your tax return. As a new rater. at generally takes at least/up to 60 days to receive the 1st payment. As an alternative, Lionbridge does offer the accelerated payment program. The general qualifications include achieving a certain quality score (~80%), at least 40 hours of productivity per month and timely approval of your sheet. Those payments are processed around the 10th of the month. Any specific questions should be directed to the finance team. I hope someone find this helpful. Have a great week. Best, nateusa
