Good evening everyone!! I was wondering how everyone is doing in terms of attaining tasks. I teach full time and am not at liberty to check my computer throughout the day so I probably miss the sporadic bursts to tasks that may be loaded in the system. This evening I was able to log on early (around 5:45) and was able to work an entire hour - the only one I've been able to work this entire week. I plan to stalk my laptop this entire weekend to get any more hours that I can but honestly I was much more optimistic about a month ago that this shortage would be ending sometime in the near future. Does anyone have any insight whatsoever regarding how close we may be to this shortage being over? Are there better times of the day or better days of the week to check for tasks? Thanks in advance to any feedback provided. This last week I completed 20 hours. Wellcome!

I have been working for LB since April last year, rating in Spanish and English. The task shortages started mid December , then improved slightly mid February and now has dropped again. I have only been able to work for 2.5 hours yesterday. Nothing at all today. I am glad this forum exist and we can share information. I have felt very lonely not knowing what was going on, and in all honesty I can't understand why they do not provide their raters with information. Apparently we need to pay taxes.. but how on earth will I commit to pay a freelance quote if I do not if there will be work for me? I would like to know if all the raters get pay the same. They are paying 7.5€ per hour in Spain...

I just read one of the most depressing emails ever - from Lionbridge. Apparently they have shut down tasks in the US market as of yesterday (the same day they sent me the email). When I say this was the best gig ever for extra money I'm not exaggerating. Did anyone else receive this news? I'm wondering if other ad evaluator vendors are in the same boat or if I can apply & pick up work with another one like zero chaos or appen? What's so strange is that a co-worker whom I referred to LB this summer had finally received an invite to take the exam but now operations are shut down?? So depressing.....

There is discussion about this at the ZeroChaos forum: workfromhomeworld.boards.net/post/2374Yesterday, a couple of ZC ads rater received nearly identical termination emails - no immediate or future need for U.S. raters: workfromhomeworld.boards.net/post/2322 Lionbridge and Zerochaos used nearly identical wording about no immediate or future need for U.S. English raters. However, even as some raters were being fired at ZC, quite a few of us had plenty of work this week -- on of the best weeks since the work shortage began.

Elena, this is an email another Google ads rater at Lionbridge received: workfromhomeworld.boards.net/post/2367I imagine it is just about the same as Shadow's. This is the termination letter a Google ads rater received from ZerocChaos on March 3rd: workfromhomeworld.boards.net/post/2322The emails are nearly identical, but don't actually state that the program is being shut down. They are worded to *imply* that, but maybe that is not what LB and ZC actually meant. Even though a few ZeroChaos ads raters were fired this week, which is too bad, work volume actually increased for the rest of us. Nothing is making sense with this job!

For those of you have been fired by Lionbridge or ZC, iSoftStone is hiring English ad evaluators who are based in the U.S. You are allowed to work up to 25 hours at first and go up to 40 hrs if your work is good. This is IC-1099, though. Try this this link: issworld.isoftstone.com/JobDescription/tabid/104/jobid/8245/title/Online%20Ad%20Evaluator%20-%20United%20States/Default.aspx?language=en-USI *believe* "Ad Evaluator" is the term for Google ads raters at most vendors; whereas I think the term for Bing ad raters is "Ad Assessors." It gets so confusing! LB, Appen, isoftstone hire for both Microsoft and Google teams. I have some inquiries in at another forum right now re: these ads rating jobs at iSS. iSoftStone had told some past applicants that they had a big project coming in January 2016.

Elena - here is the email I received:
We would like to notify you that due to circumstances outside of our control we no longer have a requirement for your services on the Ads Quality Rating Program. It is with regret that we have to make this decision; however we do not have any immediate or future need for task completion in the US Market. We would ask that you finish up on any existing tasks by end of day today Thursday, 3rd March 2016, and please make sure to log any time as necessary in your timesheet in the Supplier Portal. Access to our systems will be removed as of 12:00pm PST tomorrow, Friday 4th March 2016. Please also ensure that you have valid banking details uploaded on the Supplier Portal. This will allow us to process any outstanding payments to you when they are due. If you have any queries about uploading bank details, please refer to the “Country Help Page” in the supplier portal under Vendor Bank Details. If you experience any issues accessing the Supplier Portal please contact time.reporting.bal@lionbridge.com. A member of the recruitment team will be in contact with you should any new opportunities arise in the future. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating on the Ads Quality Rating Program and wish you every success in the future. Kind Regards Lionbridge Homeworkers Team

Glad to know this week is going better for you! Unfortunately, things have been very up and down since last fall. We have to keep checking and checking to get decent hours. Didn't use to be like this, but seems we're stuck in this rut.

Hello everyone! I've been invited to take an exam with lion bridge. Does any one have helpful tips on passing the exam? If there is not enough work, why do they take more people? ?What is the logic behind that?
