I have been working online for several years. I can tell you that I love working from home and wouldn't trade it for anything. However, the biggest challenge that people face (who want to work full-time online) is finding legitimate full-time work. A lot of online jobs don't generate a steady income. Sometimes work will come and go too. Unfortunately, there are plenty of scammers out there looking to take your money for promising to find you online work.
This forum should be a resource for people to network with each other, get answers to their work from home questions, and help lift each other up. Yes, there are definitely scammers that will try to promote their con on this site. Yes, the moderators need to be vigilant about protecting members from potential online scams. However, the moderators act more like trolls sometimes.
For example, a lady responded to a post about video game testing by leaving her email address. The moderator edited her post and removed her email address. Why? It was her choice to include her email address in the post. Why do the moderators have to play big brother?
There are at least two scam online businesses being promoted on this forum. The moderators know about both of them; however, these phony ads are still up. Why?
I know this sounds like a hateful rant lol. I am an over-worked website tester desperately trying to recruit some other online workers to help me test sites. Of course my post sounded alarms with a moderator that decided to be a smart alack and point out trivial things about my wording. For example, I mentioned that registering to work was free - and the moderator decided to ask sarcastic questions about did that mean there was a fee after you start working. They also trolled my post with questions about what is website testing? Lots of companies test websites before they go live. Website testing jobs are very common.
This post is probably going to get me kicked off this forum but I wish someone would see it who could make the necessary changes to improve this forum.
