I got an approval letter to be a Redesigned SAT scorer yesterday, but haven't heard anything else yet. looks like I might be waiting for a little while longer!
Did you do the training and certification yet? I am trying to figure out how long it will actually take. Does anyone have any experience?
I filled out the new hire paperwork and I-9, but that's the most that has happened. I haven't heard anything about training yet and can't even log into the site. Monday will be two weeks since I was accepted for the position--I'm hoping to have more news by then.
Scoring has not yet started. Right now only scoring leaders and GSLs are completing recertification. Training only takes a few hours. After which you will complete a series of responses to score. If you score them correctly you have completed certification and await the commencement of the scoring season. If not, you will be given a second chance. Good luck to you all!!
Edit: this is for CAASPP scoring. Don't have any idea about the schedule for other projects.
I did the training and certification for redesigned SAT scoring today. It took me nearly the whole 8 hour block that they had me sign up for, which surprised me. I'm glad I did all the training that they suggested though--it was really helpful. For awhile I was unsure if I would pass the certification, but I did!
The training involved learning how to use the website, reading documents relevant to your specific assignment--like rating rubric and guidelines, and then several batches of practice rounds and practice certification tests. I'm exhausted, but looking forward to the opportunity. I'm hoping this becomes a reliable source of second income for me.
I passed my training for CAASPP scoring last week. I have submitted my shifts for this week, but they are still unconfirmed. I was hoping to start working at noon today. Anyone relate?
I'm still waiting for my shifts to be confirmed as well. It's been three days. It's a little weird because I submitted several through April, and only one has been confirmed. The rest still say "Submitted." Were you able to start when you were hoping, or are you still waiting on confirmation?
I sent them an email yesterday to inquire and they said "March is pretty much scheduled" but to submit shifts for April. I submitted shifts for this week through the end of April. This morning, I received an alert that my first shift has been confirmed for March 29. I was really hoping to supplement a terrible ZC week with ETS this week, but that is not going to happen now. I thought I had read somewhere that ETS requires a minimum of 20 hours? That is why I am so confused by delay and lack of work.
