Hi, Has anyone filed an unemployment in California? I did on Wed Aug 2 and haven't heard anything at all yet. I'm a bit concerned. The thing is that I was brought back to the top page when I thought I completed the process and I didn't see nothing like "We will contact you soon" or anything. I don't know if I can/should file a claim again... Also, I forgot to add the last payment to the claim. Would it be a problem? Does anyone know? Just call them to confirm. They're pretty good at handling it. 1-800-547-3506 press 1-7-6-1 to skip the pre recorded messages

The last page of the application had a confirmation number and a message saying that I would receive my "UI Claim material" in the mail by Aug 12. And that's it, no emails, no phone calls so far. Trying to fill out the UI form and got stuck, because on California UI form, it also asks the name of immediate supervisor and it's a required field - I don't know what to do with that, any advice?

Today we are finally history on the ZC dashboard after staying as "pending close" status for a week or so.

Hey Guys,
Did any of you receive the email from Google about possible future opportunities with Appen and Lionbridge? I have a feeling the reason ZC lost the contract is because those a@@ hol** pay less and must have attracted Google to do the same with their rating projects!

Hey Ahmed, I haven't gotten any email from anywhere so far. I am assuming you did. Was it saying anything else?

I've always believed this was the case, and don't think the article from a couple of months ago had any bearing on anything. Google saw a way to save money and took it. I do think ZeroChaos knew good and well that they were losing the contract and could have given more notice than they did, to put it mildly.

On the 07/31 email We all got, ZC gave us one of their emails saying it's for those who filing UB to contact. So my question is exactly what sorts of things we may use that email for? Are we supposed to email ZC after we file UB with State? Has anyone ever asked help from that email regarding their UB applications? And how helpful is it?

Except that ZC has always paid more than most other companies and there was a post in April saying ZC's contract had been renewed. Another possibility is that it was ZC that wanted out, not G. It would be nice to have some closure, but we'll probably never know why it happened or who knew what when.

Interesting.... One of the postings says it's not remote and others don't say if they're remote or not. And the job description for one of the jobs sounds exactly like what we did with the YT videos!

Why on earth would they suddenly want some of this work done onsite? I don't get any of this. It's so frustrating not to have enough information on why our project ended and what's happening from here on out.
If I hear back from Appen or Lionbridge within the month I'll consider myself lucky. ("lucky" being a relative concept)
