Roman, that's so strange. I was paid exactly what I calculated I would be paid. Did you account for taxes etc? Does the paycheck reflect the correct number of hours you worked? Also, why aren't you getting UE? I'm preparing for the LF/RL exam. Lots of details!

Roman, why did they turn you down for unemployment? I assume you applied. It doesn't make any difference how much money your spouse makes. It is not a welfare program for poor people. It is insurance, which covers everybody.

Wow, I am so sorry that this happened to all of you. I am one of the people who was started in onboarding and then they said we should wait and now I see the wait is over. I found a decent online job with an English teaching company. I would post a link, but I'm not sure what the rules are here. The name of the company is DadaABC, I work about 15 hours a week and they pay up to 25.00 an hour. They even pay you if you don't have a class booked, which as I understand is very rare in the online teaching world.
I can give out more info to anyone who would like it!

There are all sorts of links in the WFH Opportunities board. You're welcome to post links and details in the new Tutoring/Teaching thread there. I didn't make it a leads thread on purpose, hoping people will post about their experiences and share information.

Has anyone actually received unemployment yet? I guess my state is still waiting on a response from ZC.

Hey guys, I just got the last paycheck from zerochaos and it is so much less than what I actually worked... Is it happening to you guys too?? I'm wondering if they took some fees or something I can't figure it out.... We could work only one day in the week of July 31st. How many hours did you actually work on our last day?

Macy, I moved your post about tutoring to the new tutoring thread so the information doesn't get lost.

Hi, Has anyone filed an unemployment in California? I did on Wed Aug 2 and haven't heard anything at all yet. I'm a bit concerned. The thing is that I was brought back to the top page when I thought I completed the process and I didn't see nothing like "We will contact you soon" or anything. I don't know if I can/should file a claim again... Also, I forgot to add the last payment to the claim. Would it be a problem? Does anyone know?

Wow, they lost their contract & let everyone go? So sorry. I worked ZC for an entire year from January 2014 - January 2015. It sure was fabulous while it lasted! I did my full 30 hrs a week every time because it was such easy money work that I wanted to definitely make the most amount I could. Back then overall, there wasn't much of them not having work if I recall, but there were those times. I tried to get back on since, but never was able to. I even applied all over again like a brand new applicant & they sent me the 'application received' email & told me to set up my new gmail email address, which I did, but I never heard back from them after that. In the meantime, I read about those getting on for their 2nd & even 3rd year...sure wish I was one of them! Why must ALL good things eventually come to an end?!

The last page of the application had a confirmation number and a message saying that I would receive my "UI Claim material" in the mail by Aug 12. And that's it, no emails, no phone calls so far.

I'll submit again.
