Hey guys, I'm just curious about whether or not I should be expecting to be hired (rehired, in the case of ZeroChaos) with the "Big 3" companies in their search engine analyst positions. I applied to all three of them maybe a couple months ago and have heard nothing from ZC and RaterLabs. Lionbridge rejected me with seemingly no way to resubmit an application (one that doesn't mention my work with ZeroChaos), while the other two have never replied. RaterLabs even just has the same message when I log in that basically boils down to "Don't call us. We'll call you".
So I guess my question is if anybody knows officially if these companies are having a hiring freeze or something. Should I hope that they eventually accept me into their workforce, or is that like checking my mail for a winning lottery ticket?
People are so good about sharing information here that I think anyone who had official information about a hiring freeze would have posted.
I think these are like any other WAH job, you submit your application and hope to hear back. If you don't hear anything, you maybe reapply in a couple of months or maybe you simply move on. Let your own circumstances be your guide. Rater jobs are tied to the needs of the search engines and, like those needs, they're hard to predict.
figi4: I was hired as an SME @ LB 2 weeks ago and completed all the paperwork, etc. I've been waiting for approval to start and just got an email last night that they put me on the wait list. I was really excited to get started on a new project.

manyest80: Hi everyone. It´s possible to work at Appen English - Spanish Speech Data Collection and Ad Quality Rater (Lionbridge) at the same time? In this article, they say it is compatible, as long as they are not similar projects.

verikarobinson: Forgive me if I'm doing this wrong but this whole discussion thing is not user friendly. I'm a business owner. Am I allowed to talk about what I do to work from home?
Sept 9, 2019 4:11:26 GMT
Muldowney: Hi, verikarobinson. You may talk about what you do from home if it's a job, such as customer service or rating. If it's an opportunity, like MLM or Get Paid to Click, no, we don't allow "opportunities." That's why I deleted your post.
